SNEAK PEEK: MOOD BOARD

With a new collection in the works (launching within a few weeks) I wanted to give a sneak peek at what's to come, through what has been providing me with inspiration.

The new collection will be made up of 3 mini collections, with inspiration coming from diverse sources such as Morocco (where I was lucky enough to visit last year), along with constellations and star signs.

To give a taster of what's to come, here's a glimpse of the mood board in the studio:

On the board: colour samples (representing bright gemstones inspired by the colours of Morocco);  zodiac symbols and constellations; the iconic Kim Gordon and my favourite 'Don't Hold Back' print.

ROSE GOLD LOVE

Here at A Box For My Treasure we have lots of love for rose gold - it's a feminine and flattering colour and a metal that suits all skin tones, which makes it very wearable - so, I was very happy to see the Rose Gold nameplate necklace featured in this month's Image Magazine

This necklace is available in two options - plain or customised (you can personalise it with initials, a name or date).

With rose gold growing in popularity from jewellery to bags and shoes, I decided to find out ways to incorporate it into the home. Here's my pick:

1. Desk lamp, by Heals.co.uk

2. Rhino bookends, by White Faux Taxidermy

3. Cutlery, by Anthropologie.com

4. Bottles/Vases, Etsy.com

A NEW YEAR

I love entering into a New Year and thinking about all of its possibilities and what it might bring - the feelings of expectation, anticipation and excitement fill me with an eagerness to launch into new projects and activities.

January can feel incredibly quiet after the hyperactivity of the Christmas period, but it provides a welcome opportunity to set goals, get organised and make exciting plans for the business in the coming year.

So far on the to-do list are three new collections - the first of which will launch in March. The aim is to continue developing A Box For My Treasure as the go-to for delicate, wearable and meaningful jewellery, while providing the best service possible - presented as beautifully as possible.

In the meantime, there's lots of restocking going on and all out of stock items will be available again within the next week. Free worldwide shipping has also been introduced on orders over €50.

Here's to a New Year... and a fresh start.

GIFT WRAPPING IDEAS

I love finding unique and special ways to wrap presents and when it comes to Christmas I always use brown kraft paper as the foundation and add embellishments to create a personal touch.

Here are a few that I might try out this year:

1 BLACK TWINE: Minimal and modern (and I love the idea that all of that twine wrapped around and around will create extra excitement about what's inside).

2 RED RIBBON & GOLD PEN: Do away with gift tags and simply use a gold marker to write who the gift is for, directly on the wrapping paper.

3. A SWEET TREAT: This is one for the little ones - add a candy cane or lollipop to the top of their present, for an extra treat.

4. GLITTER RIBBON: Both feminine and minimalist, with perfectly tied sparkling ribbon.

CHRISTMAS DECORATION IDEAS

Here at A Box For My Treasure we've been searching out new and interesting decorating ideas for Christmas (on Pinterest, of course!) & have compiled a mini collection of our favourites:

1 GOLD WASHI TAPE TREE: Don't want to buy a tree? Then how about using some gold washi tape to create your own unique tree on a wall.

2 LAYERED GARLANDS: DIY your own festive bunting & create a layered garland effect over a window or mantel piece.

3 WREATH: Christmas decorations aren't complete without a wreath and this one is beautifully minimal with its combination of leaves and white berries.

4 LEAF WRAPPED CANDLES: These candles, wrapped in leaves & tied with a ribbon, would make a gorgeous centre-piece on the dinner table.

STYLE POST: Minimal + Casual

In the first of our style posts we're embracing comfy but stylish casual and showing how we would accessorise with jewellery pieces from the latest collection.

In keeping with the minimal styling of the outfit, we have chosen:

1. Gold Hoop earrings - an essential in every woman's jewellery collection.

2. Gold Satellite bracelet - perfect for layering with other styles, but chic & minimal when worn alone.

3. Vermeil Disc necklace - a versatile piece, that you can dress up or down.
